~ The Sugar and Spice Story~

Sugar & Spice And Everything Nice was founded with the mission to celebrate the gastronomic diversity of Vermont in a manner which is consistent with nutritious, organic, fair-trade, and eco-friendly practices. We are committed to supporting Vermont's "Farm-to-Plate" initiative and as a result we utilize small, local, independently owned farms and businesses to source our products and ingredients. The menu is ever changing according to season, weather, availability of ingredients and our personal creativity.
~Eco-friendly~
Our commitment to a healthy lifestyle goes beyond the plate however as we are dedicated to being a 'green establishment' as well. We use recycled, compostable take-away containers, biodegradable cutlery and straws as well as eco-friendly detergents and cleaning solutions.
~Fair-Trade & Charity~
Sugar and Spice is proud to work with companies such as Jim's Organic Coffee Company (which empowers farmers with tools and techniques to grow quality shade-grown organic coffee.  The company pays coffee growers in third world countries above fair-trade standards for their labor and as a result these farmers are able to have healthy, sustainable farms and communities. Jim's Organic also donates 10% of profits from certain coffee blends to the GSO Orphanage in Mbeya, Tanzania) and  Harney & Sons Master Tea Blenders who donate 1% of their total sales to various environmental organizations that sustain our planet.
~Our Philosophy ~
~Our aim here at Sugar & Spice is to not only offer a delectable assortment of food and wine but to also strengthen the connection between plate and planet~
